Life Update – Other Writing, Ending Blogtober, and Taking the GRE/Applying for Grad School

Hello everyone! I just wanted to write a quick post to give you a quick update about what I’m up to this week…

First things first, at the beginning of the month I hinted at some super exciting writing coming your way, and it’s finally up! I couldn’t be more excited to tell you that I contributed to someone else’s blog post, not only that, but someone I admire. Alex, a fellow blogger and someone I went to high school with, asked me to participate in an authenticity post for her blog’s 1 year anniversary and I am so glad I did. It gave me an opportunity to write down some things I had been thinking for a long time, and gave me the chance to get out of my comfort zone! You can check that post out here, and be sure to follow Alex’s blog and Instagram too. Trust me, you’ll love her fall aesthetic, her pattern-mixing outfits, and all the adorable shots of her and her hubby, seriously feeling like I found a friend on the internet!

Next up, Blogtober is officially over. By now you’ve probably realized I was posting two blogs a week all month, every Monday&Friday, with a few extras too; with October coming to a close, we’ll be going back to our normally scheduled programming, probably a post each week or so. I loved getting out so much content this month, and recently read a quote along the lines of “nothing in nature blooms year round, so don’t expect yourself to either,” well for me, I’m in full bloom in October. I felt so creative all month, but also had a lot of time off from work, whereas my real job is about to become a lot busier! I think this is a good place to thank everyone who reads what I write, this month was my best month ever for views on the blog, at nearly 1,000! Thank you!

Also, a little back to school update! Tomorrow, I’m taking the GRE, which is basically the test I need to take to get into grad school, so I’ll be busy with that and once I get my scores, I will have officially applied for an MBA program, wish me luck, here’s to hoping I’m a student come January!

I’ve got one more best of fall post coming out in the next few days and then coming this November and December will be an ultimate Christmas gift guide, another clothing haul, and a how to guide on making it the most festive holiday yet, I can’t wait to finish out the year with you guys!
