Happy Valentine’s Day everyone! Believe it or not, Darren and I have never ever spent a Valentine’s Day together and we’ve been together for nearly 5 years! What can I say? We both work retail jobs and the year or two we made late night dinner plans a snow storm got in our way. The good news? Darren has helped me realize that Valentine’s Day isn’t so important if you show the person you love how much you love them everyday and not just on February the 14th. Either way, we both love an excuse to get the other a gift. This year I decided to make Darren a box for a “night-in,” with matching PJ’s – we love Stranger Things and this Pull&Bear logo t and sweatshirt are perfect, some new boxers by Calvin Klein in v V-day colors, it looks like the ones I got are sold out, but these are similar, and the only thing missing from this picture as I’ve yet to pick it up – some chocolates to share!

I also got him this card, which I blogged about last week. We’re card people. I thought it was really cute when I first met Darren, he asked me to go to Target with him to look through the card section for a card for someone, I think maybe for his step-Mom’s birthday, and honestly I don’t normally do cards, but it’s special to look back on our relationship and “aw” about all the cards he’s given me over the years, and to think about how thoughtful he is during the consideration process. This year, I wanted to give him a card that he’d really like and I think this one is perfect, as it sums up exactly how he feels about the holiday!
