A Few Worthwhile Spring Splurges

If you’re anything like me than spring and summer are the hardest seasons to dress for. Not only do I live in upstate New York where the temperature varies a lot between the months of March and September, but I really only love fall fashion – chunky knits and boots and layers make me feel most me, but are a little much for 75+ degrees. This year, I decided to splurge on a few higher-end pieces that I think I’ll actually enjoy wearing this spring and summer. Keep reading for a few worthwhile spring splurges.

In spring and summer, I usually rely heavily on my Converse – they go with everything and are easy to throw on without too much thought, but this year I decided to invest in some really cute slides – like how Instgrammable are these shoes? I ordered both pairs from Soludos (they have a deal where you get 20% off the second pair) and I absolutely love them. Here are the pink ones, and here are the blue ones – I can’t wait to wear these to a winery or on a weekend getaway to Newport (fingers-crossed).

Next up, I ordered some tops from Reformation – while the two tops above were more reasonably priced compared to the one below – I will say that I’m super impressed with the fit and quality (I wear a medium in both) and really love the way they’re proportioned. I’ve already worn the long-sleeve top out (even though I kind of envisioned wearing it in the fall) and the short sleeve is my new staple basic.

Okay, can we just like properly thank Bridgerton for influencing this year’s spring style? I literally ordered this floral puff sleeve top to wear to my mom’s birthday party (I’m doing a Bridgerton theme – think Wisteria and florals and champagne coupes and tea cups, don’t worry there will be a blog post). One quick tip – I would recommend sizing-up in this one, I ordered a 4 (my normal size) and had to exchange for a 6.

The last one isn’t actually spring/summer fashion related, but I do kind of consider my hair part of my over-all style (especially now that I wear a middle part) and I’m absolutely obsessed with this shampoo and conditioner – I only re-purchase during the Sephora sale as a little treat, but I’ll be using these up in no time – they smell amazing too!
