Hi there, it’s been a while, but today’s blog post is one I’ve been so excited to share! My mom’s birthday was last week and we decided to put-on a Bridgerton inspired birthday party, fit for a queen. Below, I’ll detail everything you need for a party that’ll be the talk of the ton – according to Lady Whistledown.
The inspiration behind the whole party was the wisteria seen throughout the series, I ordered two 24-packs of white wisteria on Amazon and used that to decorate my mom’s outdoor porch, which really made the theme come to life.
While none of the parties in Bridgerton have a balloon arch, it’s something that I knew I wanted to have at the party, I went with white and green balloons (we did two packs!) to compliment the wisteria and threaded in some wisteria garland to keep to theme. Not only was the balloon arch a complete show stopper, but it was actually so easy to put together.
While we were able to use my mom’s existing plates, these options from ZARA Home would definitely do the trick (Floral Earthenware & Pink Floral Earthenware).
I found the paper mache numbers for the charcuterie boards at Joann’s and used a box cutter to cut off the top bit, from there, I just lined them with parchment paper and filled until my heart’s content.
We used a variety of mason jars to serve frosé, but also as vases, which I filled with 5-dozen roses from ShopRite (ShopRite has lovely, cheap flowers!).
I bought two of these cake stands from IKEA and stacked them to create a little height on the table. We also used an existing cake stand of my mom’s, but more IKEA ones could also do the trick! I also bought these tablecloths from IKEA, which were the perfect size and inexpensive too.
I also picked up these little honey sticks for the charcuterie board and used another pack of the wisteria garland mentioned above as a centerpiece. Adding-in some candles could have also been a really nice touch!
We played “Bridgerton (Covers from the Netflix Original Series) – EP” on Apple Music the whole party, which was LOVELY!
Dear reader, is it too soon to say I’m already planning our next party? Only time will tell…
